Patricia Shankle is a founding pastor of Hope Church in Marshville, N.C. where she has preached for seventeen years. She and her husband Randy have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and foreign countries bringing the message of healing and restoration through the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are the parents of five children and are blessed with nine grandchildren. Randy and Patricia reside in North Carolina.

Rick Van Hoose, pastor of Bible Center Cathedral, Evansville, Indiana, contributed to the creative content and inspiration of this book.

Chapter One: The Decison

He sat on the edge of his bed loading the clips to his AR-15, semi-automatic assault weapon. It was late. The deep dark hours of the stormy night aroused the savage beast within Randy with ravaging command. "I don't know what all I'm going to do, but I'm going to do damage," Randy said quietly, deadly. There was no urgency in his voice, only resolve. Rage and hysteria had long passed. There had been days of violent emotion. There had been hot moments, and Randy lusted for revenge. But now all that was left was the empty black hole of resolution. It was, after all, about his baby girl. She was dead.

The Chariots of Hope Motorcycle Ministry’s vision is found in Luke 4:18 (KJV):

"...The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord..."
The Chariots of Hope are a group of motorcycle riders who are born again Christians with a vision of life, walking in the third day revelation of Jesus Christ our king.

Our hope is: Each member is a minister of the gospel; with the agreement of the nondenominational Pentecostal in experience patches we wear, giving Bibles, tracts, and much more to the motorcycle community of riders.
