The 4th pane on the inside has helpful and informative details such as the month, day, and year of each state's admittance to the Union plus... the year that the state-hood quarters have been/will be released.

For those of you that collect the different circulated mint marked quarters, the P & D (Philadelphia and Denver), you would want to get one album for each mint for a total of two albums. The "S" quarters minted in San Francisco were only released in limited proof sets.

COMMEMORATIVE QUARTERS FACTS:

  • Started in 1999, the Commemorative State Quarter Program will continue through 2008.
  • Five new quarters will be released each year, in the order that each state ratified the Constitution or joined the Union.
  • This is a unique program because the U.S. quarter's design will change five times each year for a 10 year period.
  • This is the first change to the quarter since production of the Bicentennial quarter in 1975-1976.
  • The heads of the quarters all have the image of George Washington and the reverse side displays the state signs, which are selected in a process determined by the governor of each state.
